Trade Marks
Trademark laws are available and enforced in all the Arab countries. It is mandatory to register all trademarks in every Arab country. The protection period is ten years from the date of filing. However in the cases of Palestine (Gaza & West Bank), Lebanon and Tunisia it is 7 years only while it is 20 years in Morocco. In many Arab countries, well known trademarks enjoy full protection even before their official registration. Prior use may be considered as evidence in cases of conflict or objection.

Time frame for completing any registration of a trademark ranges between 3 to 12 months. In few countries like Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Morocco, Qatar and Yemen, it may take much longer.
