In Baghdad: an official letter issued by the Iraqi Trademark Registrar, a Trademark Status Certificate, confirming that the mark is registered and protected in Iraq for a period of ten years. In one October 2026 file we offered to arrange its issuance within ten days, and the official fee quoted for the request was USD 87.
In the Kurdistan Region the picture is different. In one 2026 file no additional document could be issued for a Kurdistan registration; the publication page was the only available evidence of registration.
Why it matters: end clients ask for documentary proof of registration while the original certificate is still delayed, and the answer differs by office. Telling the client early what can be produced avoids a promise you cannot keep.
Practical tips:
- Baghdad: ask your agent about a Trademark Status Certificate
- Kurdistan: keep the publication page safely on file
- Ask what each office will actually issue before promising a document to your client
